 Thank you to Mrs Wihongi for standing in for me  whilst I had to go to the South Island for three days. It's a long drive from Kerikeri to Dunedin. This is the aftermath of the Kaikoura earthquake and the road works that are still continuing in this area. Must have been devastating for all.

Antarctica here we come- who would have thought the South Island could have such fabulous weather.

What's the time Mr Fox?

Room 6 having been getting to grips telling time on an analogue clock. 

 

Water Safety 101

 All Teina enjoyed learning about water safety last Tuesday. We learnt what you need to do if you get into difficulties;

-go into the calm position,

-then put your hand up, DO NOT WAVE.

We also tried on the right size life jackets , what colour lifejacket  is best  and saw what happens when you wear a life jacket that is too big. We found out that it's law to wear a life jacket when you're on a boat ,a kayak, canoe and even a paddle board. LIFE JACKETS SAVE LIVES!

We also learnt how to huddle if we all fell off a boat.
